About Us

What is The Potomac Hunt?

The Potomac Hunt is more than a hunt club. The club has a long and very proud heritage of serving and supporting many community activities. We host annually the spring Point-to-Point Races which raise money for the Suburban Hospital Healthcare System and which also provides money to the Monocacy Lions Club scholarship fund. We participate in 4H Club activities, the Maryland Horse Council, the pony clubs, and support our neighbors in many community causes, not only with our pocket books, but with our many volunteers.

We have participated annually in the Poolesville Day Parade, the Barnesville 250th anniversary celebration, and the Potomac Day Parade.

We are an organization of families that live in, and care about, our community and strive to support all that benefits our community and our neighbors.

Our hounds are nationally recognized as one of the best packs of American Foxhounds with bloodlines that go back to colonial America.

We are very thankful to all of our landowners who provide to us the open territory which allows us to continue the long traditions of our sport and club.
